Antonio Conte has geared up his determination to prove Sir Alex Ferguson wrong after the former Manchester United manager trashed Chelsea’s Premier League title hopes.

The Blues, having lashed Manchester United 4-0 on Sunday 23th at Stamford Bridge, Ferguson sidelining Chelsea talked up Manchester City, Tottenham, Liverpool, Arsenal and his former side Manchester United as the potential candidates the Premier League race.

Chelsea are fourth in the standings, a point adrift of top spot as they prepare to host Everton on Sunday. The former Juventus and Italy coach, Conte believes it is too early to be writing off his team’s chances and where they are heading to.

He insists England Premier League is tougher than what can be predicted after ten matches of thirty-eight, he did not overlook the fact that Chelsea are in good form but he believe only a nonstop hardworking emerges champions in premier league race.

“I respect a lot what he [Ferguson] said, but I know that we are working very well and not lacking behind,” Conte said. “I suppose we are now in a good way with enough room for improvement to become a team that can stand firm in contention till the end of the season to get something.

“Our ambition must be always to play to win every game. Always. It is compulsory. I try to transfer this to my players in every moment, in every day, every week, in every game. We must be ambitious. But to be ambitious one must work a lot.”

The emotional coach explained how difficult it is to tell their target now as it is too early, he revealed how Arsenal and Liverpool gave them tough time and insists that it is not advisable to look at the table now but rather work harder to improve and become a stronger team for the race.
