It has been over 10 years since the Premier League was filled with so many teams having the potential to snatch the 1st place and the trophy of this season. With 5 points separating the top spot from the 7th position any mistake, any points lost can make the whole difference.
The arrival of Mesut Ozil has boosted Arsenal so much that they currently are at the top of the league meanwhile Liverpool are following them close behind 2 points less with Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez forming one of the best attacking partnerships in Europe that has allowed Liverpool maintain the 2nd place of the Premier League.
Southampton, Chelsea and Manchester United also are challenging for the top spots.
Arsene Wenger stepped up and talked about the recent changes and quality that the teams and league have been suffering.
“Six points is not too bad [for the top eight] after 11 games,” said Wenger. “What we have learnt again today is that not only that Man United could beat Arsenal but everybody can beat everybody in this Premier League.
“Sunderland beat Man City and that shows you how much excitement you will have until the end of the season. I don’t know about quality because you have for example a team like Southampton, who is close to the top but they have three international players in the England squad.
“That means maybe the whole Premier League has gone up. I don’t think necessarily players like Robin Van Persie are not as good as last season or two seasons ago. It’s just the whole quality has gone up.”
Manchester City losing to Sunderland, Newcastle defeating Tottenham and Manchester United overcoming Arsenal are all signs that any team can triumph against their opposition despite their position in the Premier League.
